Sewage Treatment Plants are becoming increasingly popular replacement now for the traditional septic tank and meet the Environmental Agency’s new legislation rules in treated sewage via an overflow from Cesspit or Septic Tank must now be treated before reaching a water course.
The sewage treatment systems are also a viable option for developers who cannot set up a connection to the nearest public sewer, or who need to install an advanced capacity system that can treat higher volumes of wastewater. Sewage Treatment Systems can be installed with the treated effluent draining to an appropriate soakaway field or a local water course, they are also kinder to the environment, as they use bacteria to break down solid waste in place of chemicals.
